Ever noticed how your eyes feel after a day at your computer screen or a smartphone scrolling session? Tired and a little bleary, if you’re anything like us. We all spend a lot of time on our screens these days, and the high energy blue light from our devices is straining our eyes. The thing is, the human eye isn’t used to handling so much artificial light. In fact, it’s currently estimated that over 80% of people suffer from digital eye strain. So it’s time to start giving our eyes a little TLC.

Naturally Effective Ingredients

Our eyes need something called macular carotenoids, a protection from the artificial light we saturate them with. Research shows that carotenoids lutein, zeaxanthin and astaxanthin sit at the back of the eye, where they form the macular pigment. There’s also a concentration of Meso-zeaxanthin at the centre of this pigment.

Our Eye Defence has all three of these powerful carotenoids, along with beta carotene. Our bodies then convert this to vitamin A, which contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.

Aztec Marigold Flowers

Harvested

Marigold flowers are harvested in their natural region in Mexico in a pesticide free and sustainably managed area.

Extracted

Lutein and Zeaxanthin are extracted from the dried flowers.

Purified & Filtered

The extracts are purified and filtered using only water and alcohol.

Dried

A gentle drying process prepares the concentrated extract for powdering.

Milled

Finally, the extract is mechanically milled into a powder and sifted.

Mirco Algae

Harvested

Algae which contains high concentrations of Astaxanthin is harvested in Mexico in a pesticide free environment

Extracted

The Astaxanthin oil is extracted from the algae with CO2 which is a pure process requiring no solvents.

Filtered

The extracted Astaxanthin oil is filtered and passed through magnets to remove any heavy metals from the algae's natural environment.

Tested

The oil is tested for any heavy metal residue and sent back for further removal if the oil fails this step.

Micro-encapsulated

The oil is then micro-encapsulated using only pea protein.
