A mushroom's lifecycle culminates in a fruiting body whose purpose is to spread its spores. Our hot water extraction involves breaking down the cell walls of the mushroom. By breaking down these cell walls, the bioactive compounds within the mushroom are released and made more accessible for absorption by the human body.
